Accessibility Statement
Last updated October 15, 2026
The Santa Susana Knolls Homeowners Association wants everyone in our community to be able to use this website, including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, screen magnification or other assistive tools.
Our goal
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These are the widely used international guidelines for making websites accessible.
What we've done
- Large, easy-to-read text with strong contrast between text and background.
- The site works with a keyboard alone, and links show a clear outline when selected.
- A "Skip to content" link lets keyboard and screen reader users jump past the menu.
- Photos include text descriptions for people who can't see them.
- Headings, lists and tables are marked up so screen readers can read them in order.
- Pages work on phones and tablets, and you can zoom in up to 200% without losing content.
- Phone numbers, dates and addresses are written out as text, not shown as images.
Known limitations
- Some older photos came from our previous website and may be lower quality.
- We link to county agencies, utilities and other organizations. We can't control how accessible their websites are.
- If we post documents such as meeting minutes or newsletters in the future, some may be scanned PDFs that screen readers can't read. If you need any document in another format, just ask and we'll provide it.
